300px hackney carriage Geely to make London Taxis The famous black London cab, once manufactured by a host of British
automobile companies including Austin and Beadmore Marks is to be produced by Chinese manufacturer Geely. The present manufacturer of London’s black cabs, Manganese Bronze, has struck a £53 million ($100 million) deal with Geely to produce an environmentally friendly black cab that will meet EU emissions regulations.
