Jiangling – Landwind Crash Test Photos

13 November 2006 3 Comments

landwind.jpgLandind, aka, Jiangling Motors has taken an Izuzu Rodeo, or a Vauxhall Frontera body, depending on how you look at it regardless, Jiangling plans to export their Landwind jeep to Europe. However, they have hit a slight snag as they have managed to get an all time low on a European safety test, but Landwind is already on sale in the European mainland but expects to be exporting them to the UK pretty soon with an expected price tag of £10,000 ($20,000). The German testers of the Landwind determined that the driver would not survive a 40mph (64kph) head on collision! Scary stuff!

I went to the Landwind garage a few weeks ago – the cars look great, but the salesman bothered me about buying one for ages via telephone calls, SMS and email! I guessed they really are desperate to move their cars off the lot.

And so where have all the dockside Landwinds, of rally driver Bijveld, gone? Yes, 200 or so had in fact landed in Europe.

Now can they be modified, or is it off to the scrap heap?

Lots of dealers had been waiting patiently.

Можно было бы и получше изложить, с другой стороны можно было бы и хуже
