Dong Feng Coupe!

I cant deciede if this car is cool or crap. I mean look at the front – it looks muscular, butch and just a tiny bit feminine. Then look at the rear and it looks like one of those foot pumps for inflating air beds, or one of those instruments – a whats it called again? I first saw these photos and thought, what happens if you press down on the hood/boot? Will it make a noise? What if you were driving and the pressure from the wind flowing over the car pushed the hood/boot down and caused a flatulence like noise? Perhaps I think too much.

Anyways, this new Dongfeng comes with a 2.4 litre engine, electric windows and all the other refineries that you would expect in a car of its class. No word on its price as of yet but China Car Times can guess at 100,000RMB to 130,000RMB price range, as thats pretty much what Geely’s Beauty Leopard costs. Check out the below photos, which were taken from Autoblog’s Chinese edition.

Well there have been good copies (GWM) and bad ones. This one’s too ugly to appeal to coupe buyers. If they want to copy, why not copy Porsche and Ferrari coupes? And do minimum styling change.
