Geely Goes Bananas – Releases King Kong

king kong lg1 Geely Goes Bananas Releases King Kong

This Geely King Kong could well be leading the Chinese automobile invasion of America sometime in 2007! Geely released the King Kong a while back, even I was a bit stunned by its named ‘Jin Gang’ the rough phonetic translation for the giant gorilla that terrorized Manhattan on the big screen. ‘Jin’ means gold, and ‘Gang’ means hard or unyielding, a pretty decent name you might think – except in the USA it will be given the name Geely LSG1, a bit boring when compared to King Kong. Enough with the names, onto the car! The King Kong is roughly the same size as the Ford Focus, it comes with a choice of 1.5, 1.8 or 2.0 litre engine, the engines where designed using contracted help from Korean and European countries. The King Kong will sell for between $8,000 and $11,000USD once its released in China, no word on American price but once one has applied duty tax to each unit the price should still be lower than $15,000USD.

Hey, that looks like a great car. I’d like to see some interior photos and some more photos of the exterior before I make up my mind but at the moment it really looks great!
