SouEast going Middle East

SouEast Motors, one of the more peculiar Chinese auto company names in the business is planning to export 8000 SouEast Delica mini buses to Iran. It is understood that Iran plans to update its aging fleet of 15,000 taxis in 2007 although it is not understood if the SouEast Delica mini-buses will be used as taxis or not.

Why their name is SouEast and not southeast?

Your question is a good one….
For a company that has done a great job of combining the efforts of Taiwan investors and mainlanders, it’s a shame that they didn’t spend some money on an international marketing company to come up with a globally acceptable brand name. Developing brand recognition from scratch is hard enough without having the stigma of a poorly chosen name.
That said, these folks make a nice car and do it efficiently.

Soueast is available in Egypt through the agent of Mitsubishi, I have bought one Lioncel in May 2006.but Iam not sure that the import of this car will last for a long time, this will effect negatively the resale price of this car.
