SAIC make their own Rover Hybrid

10 January 2007 2 Comments

Hot off the press! A while back we posted news of the Rover 75 becoming the Roewe 750 hybrid, now it seems Roewe have gone even further and made a hydrogen powered vehicle. The fuel cells were developed in cooperation with Tong Qi’s New Energy Resources department and Shanghai Shen Li battery company, with the support of some unnamed Australian energy technicians. Acspy.com (Chinese site) reckons this model will hit the market in 2008 or there abouts. ACspys’s final word on the car is “It seems like a new silent hybrid war has just begun” One problem though, is there any gas/petrol stations where you can fill up on hydrogen?
Click the pictures to make them big, hats off to ACspy.com (Chinese site) for getting the pictures and posting them up!
