China Car Times To Chery
We’re big fans of Chinese cars, if we weren’t, why would run this site? Well there is the monetary issue but we really do love Chinese cars. However, there is a point where the word loving cars has to be stretched, the point is just about broken around the Chery V2.
Chery has single handedly managed to make one of the ugliest car on Chinese roads today. We saw this car at Beijing Auto Show in 2006, we thought it was a concept car ‘No way Chery will put this thing into production’ we thought. I guess we were wrong! Yesterday whilst on the road home I personally saw a Chery V2. It’s too long, it’s too high! It looks like its going to tip over at any corner. Its hideous – Truly, hideous! How can anybody buy this thing?!?

DUKE WELLINGTON
This is a great little car – I just bought the Karry version and I think it’s great. Looks kinda cool. I was in the market for a Miandi-type car. I have always loved the convenience of these cars since I saw them in Beijing back in 1994. You can fit so much into them! There are lots of people making this style of vehicle now. Changan and Changhe, to name only two. However, this one is really the best I have seen in overall performance and the interior is a bit nicer – not to mention it looks a heck of a lot cooler. Let’s see if it holds up for the long hall…
I am from the Philippines and I own a V2. Who says it is ugly? To each its own right? The quality of the car is good enough even if the plastic parts inside are not really like Japanese cars but at the price I got it, it is really great! It has been very reliable. My only complaint is that the wheels are a bit small. Anyway its practical transporation and easy to maintain. That’s what its all about.
Mom and Dad are usually taller than the kids. But with China’s rapidly changing diet, i.e. more protein, Chery designers may have to shift the hump to the rear……
