SAIC’s Ford Focus Killer – Is There Any Truth In It?
UK Car Magazine Autoexpress recently published an exclusive story about SAIC’s new up and coming car – based off the Rover RDX60 which never saw the light of day. But is there any truth in the story, many people seem to disbelieve the story, with comments on the MG-Rover forums such as ‘Well its pretty obvious they had a small text box with no words in it, so they made the story up. Old picture, 100% inaccurate story….‘ and ‘Putting it bluntly Autoexpress is a pile of cr*p, always has been, always will be. It is the motoring equivalent of the Sunday Sport [Famous tabloid newspaper in the UK]. Their scoops are usually founded on nothing at all, their predictions 99% wrong. I question whether any of their journos actually know anything about cars.‘
It seems some people don’t put any faith in the Autoexpress story. China Car Times couldn’t find any information about SAIC making a ‘Focus Killer‘ in the Chinese press.
