Roewe sales seem to be going well
Roewes initial sales after jumping onto the Chinese market seem to be going quite well, given that it is essentially a ‘new’ car company that has been promoted quite vigorusly over the past few months – Roewes advertising seems to have started around November 2006 and has been very, very aggresive. Adverts showing the Roewe’s ‘Britishness’ have been put all over airports, magazines, newspapers, and even skyscrapers in downtown Shanghai. Ten days after Roewe went on the market, the sales figures are looking like this:
893 deposits received for 750D 2.5L – price listed ¥231,800
1641 deposits received for 750E 2.5L – price listed ¥243,800
611 deposits received for 750i 2.5L – price listed ¥276,800
The Roewe went on sale roughly ten days ago, and is recieving an average of 300 people per day putting down deposits on the cars. Excellent work, Roewe.
