Ask a Roewe Dealer Your Questions

iwantyou Ask a Roewe Dealer Your QuestionsChina Car Times is starting a new section to bring you up to date news of the Chinese car industry – we can now bring you video interviews – We’ve dusted off that mini DV camera that we bought to send home videos from China (which we never did) and have decided to put it to good use for China Car Times. On Sunday we will be interviewing a Roewe dealer here in Qingdao so…..

We want your questions – the interview would be more interesting if we can get some reader input as well as our own questions (the usual one is ‘Why is the Roewe 750 heavier than the original Rover 75?), please leave it in the comments box below or send it to contact@chinacartimes.com

We’re going to make the China Car Times TV (CCTTV, perhaps?) a regular event. Stay tuned for more info.

Why did they pick a name so close to Rover?

Why would Chinese customers want to pay a premium for a car with outdated technology when they can pay less for a more established brand that has more features and innovative technology?

In addition to the hydrogen fuel cell SAIC-Roewe displayed recently, will Roewe also be available in hybrid, all-electric, or flex fuel models?

When will the hydrogen fuel cell model go into volume production?

In reality, where does the brand see itself in comparison to other manufacturers. Has it pitched itsel premium (BMW etc) or is it setting it’s sights lower with aspirations of becoming prestigious in time.
If it is premium, what lessons are Roewe going to take from Rover when it comes to selling small cars (ie 25-45) with a premium price tag?
