Geneva Motor Show
The Geneva motor show is getting close, from the 8th to the 18th March. Just like the Detroit Auto Show, the Geneva one is quite important as it showcases some fresh European talent that perhaps didn’t make it to the Detroit show. Also to make things even cooler, Brilliance/Zhonghua will be showing a couple of their models, the BS6 and also their new BC3 coupe which was unveiled at the Beijing Auto Show in 2006 but needs unveiling again on China Car Times as its simply stunning for a Chinese vehicle.
Brilliance/Zhonghua have a joint venture with BMW in China, with a bit of BMW help Brilliance seem to be producing some great looking cars, and are currently working on their own range of in house developed engines rather than relying on the Mitsubishi engines that they have used so far. The Brilliance 1.8 turbo engine looks absolutely great – we’ve seen it in their advertising literature, so perhaps its going to be coming down the line soon?
We hope Brilliance win some fans in Geneva! They didn’t make many friends with the German press when they exported their first model to Germany.
