Brilliance Autos Finally Launches 1.8 Turbo Model

Brilliance Autos, the Shenyang based super star car company that has managed to make waves the world over with its BMW aided cars has finally launched its 1.8 turbo engine in both of its BS4 and BS6 models. Previously Brilliance, as well as many other Chinese auto companies, have been using Mitsubishi sourced engines – its a cheap way to get a top quality engine without having to dump a load of cash into R&D. Chery use Mitsubishi engines in its RAV4 look-a-like SUV, the Chery Tiggo.

The BS4, or the Junjian pictured above, as well as the Junjie or BS6, and even the new Brilliance Coupe, will come with the option of having the new 1.8turbo engine installed. The nicer looking BS4 will cost from 130,680rmb to 14,680rmb. We think that this BS4 will go up against the other 1.8 turbo cars, i.e. the VW Passat 1.8t and the 1.8t Audi A4, on the road quite well,
