Chinese love their luxury cars!

The China Trading Center for Car Imports has today revealed some rather interesting figures for the importation of ‘luxury’ cars into China. The figures are from January to April 2007 and the number given is the number of cars imported into China by the respective brands.

Lexus: 7000 cars
Mercedes: 6000 cars
BMW: 4000 cars
Volvo: 3900 cars
Audi: 1900 cars
VW: 1900 cars
Porsche: 900 cars

To tell the truth, these numbers do not surprise us at all. Qingdao city center has so many luxury cars its hard to cross the road without getting run down by a BMW X5 or a Audi Q7.

We feel rather poor now.
