Chery looks like they are planning to make a new Chery Eastar. The original Eastar was blatantly copied inspired by the Chevrolet Epica and has since been changed into a discreet looking bullet proof car for South American markets (Who would rob a Chery driver anyway?) Chery wants to continue the Eastars success into 2008, which is fair enough, so they’ve slightly updated the front end and the interior:
It wasn’t inspired as you say. It was copied. The QQ and Eastar were both copied. Chery obtained information about the originals (Spark, Epica) when they hired away an employee from GM. In my opinion your blog is very biased.
