Chinese Government gets hardcore, bans 444 different vehicles from being produced

23 July 2007 No Comment

A few days ago the Chinese government bureau for the development and reform took the rather extreme measure of banning 444 different model vehicle from being produced in China. The reason? They dont meet current energy saving regulations. The vehicles which are a mix of commercial vehicles, busses, trucks, tractors etc including cars. China Car Times is currently researching which cars it is that have been banned by the Beijing govt.

Just when you think the central government doesnt really care about the environment, they come and surprise you with something that you would never ever expect to happen.

Previously on China Car Times we talked about two mayors, one in Beijing who banned 1 million cars from the roads, and the other, the mayor of Shenzhen who told his citizens to stop buying cars.
