Good Lord! MG7 to start at 170,000rmb!

MG have just released the price of the MG7 sedan, and we can only say we are stunned! The cheapest MG7 will start at a bargain 170,000rmb, for that you get the basic 1.8 turbo engine and basic package options, the prices rise all the way upto 300,280rmb for the top of the range 2.5 V6 flagship edition MG7, this version is the stretched edition and is 100mm longer than the regular MG7′s.

Whats even more exciting for China Car Times, is that the first dealership to begin sales is in Qingdao, China Car Times territory. Are we going to put down a deposit on a sub 200k MG7? We dont know, we’re awfully tempted – China Car Times is wondering how Roewe will respond to these low prices. Roewe were probably expecting to sell their 1.8t model for around 200,000rmb but MG have obviously undercut them by 30,000rmb on that model.

Stay Tuned: China Car Times will post up spec sheets later today for the four different MG7 models.

    Was it you?

The first MG has been sold in China by Nanjing Automobile Corporation as the firm’s takeover by Shanghai Automotive gathers pace.

The car, a MG 7 – Nanjing’s version of the Rover 75 – was sold at a dealership at the coastal city of Qingdao.
