We got all excited when we heard that Lotus were going to start production here in Shandong province of China, it seems we were wrong. The Gen2, which was Lotus designed will be made here in China, but none of the sexy Lotus cars will be made here, doh.
Anyway, it seems the Gen2 has already been spotted out driving with temporary Chinese license plates on it (the stickers in the top corner)
The Chinese motoring press are expecting the domestically made Gen2 to cost around 170,00rmb which will see it up against the Brilliance Coupe.
