Chevrolet Captiva to arrive in October
Chevrolet are actually building a nice line up of cars in China, they arent your usual Yank tanks but rather, smaller, sexier vehicles that China Car Times even confesses to liking. It seems that Chevrolet have seen that the market requires smaller, sexier vehicles that are better on the fuel consumption than a V12 tank, of course Chevrolet still makes the big V’s and we wouldnt want them not to make them, but we are rather impressed by their smaller line up, and we include the Captiva in that as well.

The Captiva is set to make a mark on China in October this year, just in time for Chinas ‘Indpenedence day’ when the nation marks the day it was founded by Mao Zedong, and what better way to celebrate the rising of the worlds most populous commie nation than by buying an American SUV. The Captiva will cost 250,000rmb when its launched and will be up against the Santa Fe, the Tuscon and has a handy 2.5 liter engine that is more than enough to carry itself and a few people plus shopping in the back.

Well, like most Chevrolets in the international market, these vehicles are just Daewoos (GMDAT). I doubt the international market will ever see a gas guzzling Chevrolet outside of the states unless it’s a rebadged Holden or Corvette.
dude, u’d be better off buying a Kia Serento than this
why do you say so?
There was talk that this vehicle would go into production at the SGM Wuling plant in the future.
Captiva has been received well in Australia. 30% of the vehicles sold are diesel models using the Fiat source JTD engine also found in Astra AH. Competition in this segment of lite SUV is strong going up against RAV4 and the new Honda CRV.
The car’s plate (photo) is Spanish
It was just to show what the model looks like
