Santana does it again, top of the pops for August 07

No, not the mustachioed Mexican guitar playing singer, we mean the VW Santana, the car that may have fallen from your Western memory around ten, no, twenty years ago is still going strong in the P.R.C.

The Santana models ranging from the 1981 B2 models to the relatively newer 2000 and 3000 models are still outselling their modern rivals by a long shot, even the mark two Jetta is selling well, with it sliding in at the 2nd spot.

The August 07 top selling cars are as follows: (sales figures are express in far right column)

    Oh yes, there is/was a 4000, I remember it was only for the developing markets (i.e. China/Brazil) but Im not sure if it ever went into production.

    It wasnt called the 4000 either, something else, Rei Zhi Shu or something similar.
