Proton Gen2 Racer to go on the market soon?

We’ve just heard that the Lotus Racer that is being made in China by the Jinhua Neoplan and Proton/Lotus joint venture agreement will go on the market very soon and is to be priced at a VERY reasonable 100,000 to 150,000rmb. The UK edition Gen2 offers a 1.3 or a 1.6 motor, China Car Times can guess the 1.3 is going to get dumped for the Chinese market – 1.3 is great for little ol’ London, but crap for BIG China. So thats the 1.6 motor, with 110bhp under the hood, this puts it up against the Nissan Tiida price, and performance wise.
This is all great news, but where is Jinhua Neoplan planning to sell this car? Last time we looked, they dont exactly have dealers on every corner. Why did Proton choose a bus maker to make a car?

Is this really an official joint venture agreement by these two parties? And where are these cars currently being made? I hadn’t heard of the Tai’an plant having been completed yet. And I hadn’t heard of any progress at Jinhua’s other locations in Jiangsu or Guizhou. Just seems like there are more questions than answers at the moment.
