Dongfeng Jing Yi MPV will be ready for the market in Oct!

Dongfeng claim their new MPV is a true international car as designers, engineers, and parts came from all over the world to make this bubbly little people mover. The big players in the Chinese auto-world mainly SAIC, FAW and Dongfeng are pouring millions of RMB into creating their own auto brands, so far its seems like SAIC are in the lead followed by FAW and now Dongfeng. Dongfeng already have a few cars under their own brand (Crazy Soldier, Coupe, a hybrid sedan, an SUV etc) but are still set on expanding their own brand line up, the MPV fits into that slot nicely. News on the Jing Yi is currently limited, but we believe it will come with a 1.8l engine and has already obtained 4 stars in the NCAP crash test.

dont look bad. But crush test is just a headache to every chinese car maker.
Safety comes first!
I forgot to mention, it already has 4 stars from NCAP
Seriously ? Do you have that news or video in english ? And when was that crash test ? Very surprising because I never heard of Dongfeng cars before, and so it passed Euro crash test, so is it gonna enter european markets or just gonna stay in China ?
I got this from a Chinese article ‘…达到欧洲NCAP碰撞四星级同等标准的整车安全设计、高强度钢板车身。’
But cannot find any evidence of this. Ill look through the Chinese web pages tomorrow to see what I can find.
No entiendo Chino:( ¿No es un coche feo eh? Me voy a comprar un Dongfeng Soldado Loco
ha. Those Chinese words says the car meets the safety standard that is equivalent to NCAP 4 stars level.
so I guess this model has not taken the NCAP test yet.
ah yes, the word tong is there.
I will not read anymore Chinese news stories after ten PM
Perhaps, they put a Dongfeng logo on a Mitsubishi Grandis and send it to the NCAP!
Chery did the same with a Daewoo Kalos turned into a QQ…
