Great debate going on here – not about the mini/city cars (Ben Ben is the looks winner for me), but about the period we are in in Chinese car history.
To me it is fascinating, seeing the number of new cars, the number of new drivers (at least 30 in my office in the last three years), the number of first car purchases… Do you remember that day? You were probably 18 or so. What is the age of the first time buyer here? Thirtysomething…or more.
I remember the first Datsuns and Hondas turning up State side. Exciting? Yeah, but this is even bigger.
