Nice little foreign junket for the California governor, as the little ladies gather to ogle.
Am sure taxpayers would love to know how many jobs this will bring to the state?
Chinese-made Zap Jindalu Electrics are already appearing on the streets of Southern Cal.

After reading more and more about ZAP, it seems they make 99% of their money from issuing press releases about their great products and reaping the rewards afterwards when their share price increases…..

Don’t rag on ZAP – what do you want from them? Go from 0 to 100 in a year? They have to slowly build up their business and product lineup, distribution and logistics, etc. etc. Give me another company that is this dedicated and doing something about it???

I want an electric car! A fully capable one, one that can do anything a regular gas car can do. Then I’ll put a solar panel on my roof and voila – no more $ to oil companies!!!!!

What about the lubricants required ? ;)

Also, solar panels are pretty much useless on top of a car, they dont generate nearly enough electricity to charge up the batteries. Always better to invest in better batteries that weigh less and give more bang for your dollar.

A 12v battery that is in your common electric car, i.e. Zap (Im guessing they use these) is 64kg per battery. Now, each car needs around 72v (depending on motor size) so that is often six, 12v, 64kg batteries.
