BYD is a auto brand just like other chinese auto brands. It is an original design with great creativity with the high quality at affordable price for the masses. The cars are brands but just may look similar to others. Others are just bashing BYD because they realize the BYD is a huge success.

Wow! I just read all the posts here. Crazy. Have to love all the last ones asking to buy the car through this site. Reminds me of all the Nigerian Ebay scams.

How can any company hope to achieve credibility by merely copying others designs?

This blatant copy of the car marketed in europe at the Toyota Aygo, Citroen C1 and Peugeot 107 is a clear demonstration of a total lack of creativity and original design.

Haven’t they got any ideas of their own?

They might as well go the whole way and add a 3-cylinder engine, just like the real ones!

unfortunately, i read that the tata nano is $2480 (£1300) but if they could export the BYD F1 to UK and other countries, it could make a good competitor. the car looks like a cross between a honda jazz and a toyota aygo, but if a car is cheap it could make personal transport affordable to anybody in the world.

LOL, I think we can see how much of a cash cow Holden is to GM now. $20,000 cheaper is not fair, think how many more they would sell in Au if they sold them at that price? (which they never would). Gives you another option later if you stay in Shanghai…
I heard the new Camaro is going to NZ, not sure about Au.. It will be badged as a Chevy there… don’t quote me though.

Mundosanto, my original comment was aimed at yet another person who comes here, sees the pic and straight away assumes its a copy because it looks like another vehicle…. Broken records always sound like s%^% don’t they? Too many China haters, if they don’t like it they are welcome to leave China or stop buying Chinese goods…. but I bet most won’t because they are either too cheap or are making money off the Chinese…
