A while back Geely launched a competition for designers all around the world, the goal was simple: Sort Geely out with a new logo, and they’ll give you cash, not a lot, but not a little either. Surprisingly, the competition became worldwide news in a matter of hours, and we STILL get emails about it even now.
Two of the logos that are rumored to be in the final running are these two:
The winning logo will be announced on November 6th. What do China Car Times readers think of the above two?
So they are about half as good as a Subbie? And about half as good as a Roewe? So does that add up to a quarter?
Well at least the top one is better than the bottom which to me looks Arabic in origin.
The bottom one reminds me of the one on the back of the Syangyong (perhaps) limo.
I like the second. Simply and easy.
I like the second one, for some reason I think of a whale doing a backflip when I look at the logo or it reminds me of an eye type hieroglyph.
After all that hype is this all they can come up with? If so I’d urge them to keep the old one.
the second one looks good. The first one looks too complicated, too many colours and look abit like an american flag.
Wow those are even worse than the current one…and they’re paying 250k to the designer.
The 2nd looks liked a chromed dog turd, which makes it the best choice.
Sometimes, you are too blunt.

Hello! Thanks, for an opportunity to familiarize with variants of new Trade marks for company Geely! I Regret too late to me it was possible to learn about this competition. However, the variant of the Trade mark developed by me for company Geely is assured, that, read much easier and worldwide is clear as - as the Sign on the Chinese origin.

Mosslly, I find it hard to believe that a fine upsatnding maker of top quality motor vehicles such as Geely could A) have bad service B) have expensive parts and C) have incompetant maintenance workers.
Maybe the dog turd logo also is a reflexction on their after sales service?????

Hi Ash-yes the poor old Dog has returned from the hot downunder to the frozen wastelands of ancient China. After almost 2 months of playing with real cars and not having to look at bad copies, road ticks, and rehased old designs and of course Geelys.
However Im glad to be back - I think?
