I drive a "Streetwise by Rover" (as it was advertised and branded on brochures etc)

I have the 2.0 TD SE.

The Car above is in my opinion is what MG Rover would have done to the Streetwise if they hadnt of went into administration.

MG Rover facelifted the Rover 25 and MG ZR but not the Streetwise. The modifications Headlights, Rear Boot, Rear Bumper were all new during the 25/ZR Facelift unfortunately not carried over to the Streetwise.

If NAC-MG were to bring the MG3 Crossover (as its now called) to the UK im sure it will sell well, after all the Streetwise was only on sale for 2 years and won off competion from Citroen and VW who's C3 and Polo variants flopped.

Thanks Windy, I see what you mean now. Before I hadn't seen the matching one on the rear. Perhaps its just a show car color scheme and not meant for production. I do hope so.

I think the photographer was trying to fit the MG logo in at the top.

The "exposed beam" is one of the features, made from scratch resistant plasic - apparently :)

This new range from Nac MG will be sold in china market only. And to compare to Nanjing soyat, it's modern car ....
In Guangzhou motorshow, MG will present just the MG3 Streetwise, MG 7 et TF cvt.
And the rest of 3'range ? Curious strategy

In the upper photo, the exposed energy absorbtion beam was cut from view. Is this by accident? Or is it because it looks so odd, almost like styrofoam.

They (NAC) are just generating a return on their £53m purchase of MGR. SAIC bought the blue prints for this car (Rover 25)as part of the £67M pre MGR JV. What have they managed to do with it!
