We posted picture of the Roewe 550 the other day, we said it was beautiful, Autoblog disagreed. We think they are silly pooh pooh heads. No, really, they are entitled to their opinions, and we are entitled to say we haven’t seen a good American car since….. The Ford Mustang Bullitt

All in all, the Roewe 550 is shaping up to be an excellent looking car. Its amazing the amount of R&D Roewe have stuck into their models since claiming the Rover 75 blueprints.

The Roewe 550 (it’s my opinion) is a nice car, but the 750 is more british spirit than 550.
Do yo know when this car was available ?

I was told by a SAIC mate that the 550 will come out mid 2008. Can’t wait…
Well, as a Yank, I like it. I think a lot of people are “mixed” about it. I’m sure quite a bit of people have a negative perception of Chinese produced cars so they’re finding any flaw they can. The vehicle looks like it’s pretty well screwed together. However, I’ll wait to hear what Dog Tucker has to say.
the interior looks well laid out, though it can do with a LCD/SatNav as most cars theses days have them at least as an option. Looking forward to hear whats under the bonnet.
As for Autoblog, of course everyone is entitlted to have their opinion, it just doesnt stop me forming an opinion that their opinion is whack.
Could the Roewe 550 spearhead SAIC’s charge into Europe…i certainly hope so…if its good enough, it might even be the new Top Gear ‘reasonably priced car’…then again, maybe not. xD
I cant wait to see the 550 in the flesh, It should be out early next year!
