Forde Verve unveiled at Guangzhou Show, Ford add doors and trunk
The Ford Verve gained a collective WOW from around the world when it was unveiled at the 2007 Frankfurt Auto Show, since then the Verve prototype has been updated twice. The second update of extra doors and trunk, turning the Verve into a tiny sedan has been well received globally since its Guangzhou unveiling.
The Ford Verve is expected to be made in both Europe, the USA and Asia.

Isn’t this going to be the replacement for the Fiesta sometime??
Seems to me to be a replacement of the Focus and that could mean that we have to wait at least a couple of years more to put our hands on one of this. This car is absolutely stunning, the edge of design of Ford in many years. I hope the performance is as good as the design.
Ive seen the new Mondeo going around Qingdao a few times now, I believe it also follows the Kinetic design family such as the Smax etc.
Cant say I like either of them, perhaps the Verve will be better.
The Verve is doing the rounds in Europe and has been photographed in 3 and 5 door hatch form in secret tests. It’s a direct replacement for the Fiesta and not the focus. As far as we know this was produced for china (as they love their saloons) and is a styling exercise. Will it go into production? Possibly but for china only. Small saloons are as popular as the plague in Europe.
Small saloons seem to be popular in most developing countries, it makes people think they are getting a bigger car for their money.
The 4 door of the Verve looks to be about the same size as the Focus. Nice looking car.

Alas, as a Yank when we get this, it’ll be a saloon and not a hatch. Because apparently, us Yanks only like saloons.
I think as a ‘yank’ you won’t get this at all as it’s small and powered by engines of less than 1.6L or (heaven forbid) diesels. Question: Why don’t americans like diesels?
