The boss of Porsche, Mr. Helmut Broeker believes that Porsche can sell around 4000 vehicles in China in 08. Thats a number that China Car Times can easily believe.
It seems a day doesnt go by when we dont nearly get knocked off our bikes by a Porsche Cayenne (which seems to be the best selling Porsche in China), especially the larger 4.6 models which sell for in between 1.5 million and 2 million RMB in the PRC. China Car Times does occasionally see smaller Porsche 2 seater sports cars in China, but they aren’t really suitable for Chinese roads, hence Porsche lovers much prefer the Cayenne, or the ‘ka bin‘ as its known in China.
