Ford Verve, to be churned out in sunny Nanjing!

The Ford Verve concept car that has wowed the world at various international car shows is set to be produced in Nanjing towards the end of next year, and then it will go on sale in 2009.

Previous news reports have remarked that the Nanjing Ford factory will become an export center, sending its Fordy produce to spread around the world from a low cost base. Nanjing has certainly become the place to make cars of late, Ford have turned up, so have MG, and SAIC recently took over an ex Fiat factory in Nanjing to make the Santana 3000.

It is unclear that if the Verve will be immediately exported, or the Nanjing factory will be initially producing for domestic demand. China Car Times will keep you updated!
