A new CUV from Shuguang?

Dandong Shuguang is not an automanufacturer that gets a lot of airtime on China Car Times (although we will try to correct that) we did talk about the coolest pick up in China that they made.

huanghai cuv A new CUV from Shuguang?

This CUV comes with a 2.4l Mitsubishi engine that can reach 160kph and has pretty much acronym you can think of – ABS, EBD, OBD, DVD, GPS etc etc all as standard. The CUV also has a sunroof, and a range of airbags.

We will try to get more information on Shuguang, who appear to be a very small regional player in China yet they make some excellent looking motors that cost very little. We hope they can get bigger.

SG Automotive is a strong player in the auto industry with at least 6 plants in 3 provinces. It’s specialty is axles, to include heavy duty truck and bus types. The renowned Eaton Corp has chosen to partner with the axle division. How they will do with passenger vehicles, it’s hard to say. But in my opinion, for investors Shuguang is a good bet.

Dragin, you are right, I meant in the passenger manufacturing industry specifically rather than anywhere else. They do make some good looking passenger buses (the stretchy type!) and the axles, as you’ve already said.

One of their SUV’s look excellent, It also sells well in Qingdao, which is a good sign as Qingdao people are snobby, and wealthy enough to buy foreign makes.

Why can’t chinese companies come up with their ‘own’ designs instead of making horrible looking copies of everyone else?!!?!!
