The Chery A1 which is to be rebranded as a Dodge mini vehicle is to go on sale in Mexico very soon. The A1 cars are to built in Cherys Wuhu plant, and then exported to Mexico with Dodge branding.

The Dodge Chery deal has been a bit of a ‘will they, wont they’ fiasco since it was signed by both parties, Chery was upbeat about the deal and initially said the A1 would be one the motors for the deal, where as Dodge flatly denied everything, even dropping media hints that the Chery deal was not going well.
