Lifan 520i – packed full of motoring goodness at a bargain

Previously on China Car Times we talked about the upcoming Lifan 520i hatchback, yet, information on the 520i was thin on the ground, Lifan has kindly told us about the safety aspect of their 520i; a rather large issue for overseas buyers of Chinese cars since various crash tests were carried out on Chinese vehicles.

Lifan says the A pillar, B pillar, and C pillars have all been strengthened to better protect the occupants in a crash situation, needless to say, Lifan have already passed the Russian crash test which is consistent with the European crash testing

The 520i comes complete with ABS, and EBD and twin air bags. The Chinese motoring press are saying that the 520i comes with three engines named LF479Q3 (1.3l), LF481Q3 (1.5L) and a Tritec 1.6 engine.
