China Car Times forgets to pay road tax, find accordingly

Chinese and international readers of China Car Times should never, ever forget to pay your road tax (Yang Lu Fei, in China). The upkeep of Chinas lovely flat tarmac roads in the city centers and inter city highways is in your hands!

Obviously China Car Times would be wise to accept their own advice. China Car Times usually pays road tax once every three months, except, we urm… kinda forgot to pay in December. Its only 100rmb per month, and we prepay 3 months at a time, but in December, we were somewhat busy with the usual festivities. A quick dash to ICBC (Industrial and Commercial Bank of China) to pay the unpaid tax was all that was needed, and we were fined for being late.

The fine was 1rmb – (0.13USD). We wont forget again, we’ve been told now.

The first driving related fine of 08, 1rmb!
