The front looks BYD F1 esque, but the rest is way off base - I wonder if its JACs minicar?

I remember reading here last year about Hyundai planning on selling a new micro car in China…….it was potentially labeled as a “QQ killer”. There were rumors about the Getz coming here, and this KIND of resembles the Getz - but smaller. MIGHT this be the new mystery Hyundai “QQ killer”?

Most Chery cars are ‘disguised’ in such a manner, in fact, most Chinese car companies always use their own style of camouflage, which is rather useless as everyone knows what brand the car is before its even launched.

pretty sure its a BYD F1…. the front is a definite hint, the back is a bit more subtle

The front grill and lights bear a VERY close resemblance to the F1 but aside from that the entire shape back is totally different. The smile on the bottom lip appears to be bigger on these pictures as well.
The rear lights on the F1 are (on the one that was on display in Guangzhou) bigger and mounted up high beside the hatch glass rather than around the middle on these pictures. If it is indeed an F1 then it has had a major design change in the past few months.

Im sure its not the F1, cuz the F1 is a copy of the AYGO/C1/107, and this car doesnt looks like it, like Ash said i think is the JAC new minicar or a rare chinese brand

Could this be a Shangdong Huoyun (supplier to Shuanghuan)product?

Comment by Ash

Are they supplying? Shandong Huoyun buy their electric cars from a different, unknown factory in the Shandong area who deal primarily with fiberglass and not steel.

Hoi Ash, my dear friend Felix Bai says it is a Haima M2, designed by TJ Innova and based on the Chevrolet/Daewoo Matiz II, like the new Chery QQ2 (S18). Felix is always right.

Hoi! Erik!

Thank you for the update, When you say based on, do you mean legally, or illegally?

Thanks for the correction Ash. I guess it’s Hongxing, not Huoyun, who does the Little Noble for Shuanghuan, right?
In any case, what had caught my eye on the mystery model was the (below the belt) driver’s door mirror. It’s not seen much on Chinese domestic models.
But for now Eric I guess we should take Felix’s word for it. Yinwei the Haima sport coupe concept(designed by Innova?)and the Innova Lightning Coupe both have that style of mirror.

I think HongXing might actually be a subsidy of Double Ring.

More checking to be done…

Hi Ash, based on = copying.
Huoyun made an electric version of the Smart, Shuanghuan the petrol version, under the Hongxing brand (Hongxing is an old manufacturer in Hebei province who has a bus-license and they are bought by Shuanghuan.)

Thanks for the update Erik!

The original range of Huoyuns motors might have been Hong Xings lot, but I think the newer range of vehicles are from a different supplier.

Erik, I beg to differ.

According to China car times. The QQ2 was designed by Torino.

Well Mememe, you are right, the car is not a copy of the QQ2, but of the QQ3, as the new pictures show. I misunderstood Felix Bai here. Maybe I couldn´t believe the old QQ3 to be copied…
