Get your Chery on: Chery to launch 4 new cars in 08

Chery have gone from strength to strength with each passing year, it doesnt seem like yesterday when they were knocking out the Seat Toledo based Chery Cowin, and then the Chery QQ, but since then, they’ve gone a million miles.

2008 doesnt seem to be any different for Chery, fast growth, good looking cars, and impressive sales figures seem to be the way forward. In the next few years, they hope to launch an amazing 38 different models of cars, in 2008/09 Chery have plans for 8 new cars which include a mini car (kei car) a compact, mid size, a new MPV and SUV models. Busy year then.

This March Chinese consumers should be able to get their hands on the Chery A3 motor

Chery A3:

 

The A3 looks the business, it has European styling that set it apart from the Asian mainland cars (especially its fellow Chinese, and Korean models) and seems to come packed to the brim full of electrical goodness, such as electric sunroof, DVD/GPS navigator, ABS and all the usual safety equipment.

Chery B13 MPV:

The B13 is built off the platform of the Chery Oriental Son, which putting it bluntly is a damned big car. The B13 is expected to be 5.55m long, and have a wheel base of 3m, the B13 should be a pretty roomy motor then. Internally, Chery plans to have the seating arrangements so they can be folded flat, turned around to face each other, or just taken out. Want one? QQ5

The QQ5 is a funny looking beast, an amazing mix of eccentric and madness, that somehow manages to combine in a way that only Chinese women would love.  We talked about it before on CCT, we have a liking for it.

The interior isnt too bad though:

The QQ5 is going to come with either a 1.1L engine, or the new fangled 800cc Turbo motor Chery just made.

Chery A6

The Chery A6 is set to become Cherys flagship motor and placed abve the Oriental Son in the product line up. The A6 is expected to pack both a 2.4 V6 motor and a 3.0 V6 motor and is directed against the Honda Accord and the Toyota Camry in the Chinese markets.

Fiat and Alfa

How can we forget the Fiat Linea? Chery and Fiat are set to make the Fiat Linea, AND the Alfa Romeo 149 later this in China
