Chinas big friendly neighbor to the north, not Mongolia, but Russia, is experiencing a Chery Boom right now.

Russia’s recent economic boom on the back of its natural resources sales has had a knock on effect on the sales of cars in the massive country. Chery has sold 37, 100 vehicles in Russia during 2007, however, General Motors has sold a massive 190,600 imported Chevrolet vehicles.

Exports now account for one one third of Chery’s total annual sales.
