Not bad looking, and I’m sure it’s nicely engineered, but Lifan needs some cohesion between their designs. The 3-, 5-, and 6- look nothing like each other aside from having the same badge.

The rear looks like a cross between a and a

Anyone else think this has a passing look to the Toyota Pruis at the rear and would be a cure for insomnia at the front…..and sleep zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  3. avatar Patrick Malseed says:

Smells very much like the Buick Excelle especially the rear end.
Shame about the gap between the wheels and the arches.
Could do with coming up a couple of notches on tire and wheel diameter.

Some kids look just like their parents. Other kids look like a good mix. I can see the parents in this mix and it’s not those mentioned above. Anyway, I think its looking pretty good. It would need a bigger set of wheel and to be lowered to look great.

yep, the rear looks kinda prius indeed. And I guess joe’s got the Tercel feeling because of the hood shape..
    .
But first thing that came to my mind was Subaru Legacy tail lights and E90 3 series headlights…
    all in a bland body
    .
in my opinion the result isn’t that bad though, depending on what category is this car intending to compete… what is it aiming at??

In th rear i see Suraru Legacy, in the front VW Santana and in the sides Toyota Corolla, but is good for a chinese car maker

  7. avatar Harry says:

Anyone else see a cross between the Mitsubishi Galant and/or Kia Spectra in the rear?

  8. avatar Mememe says:

Oh please, stop those guesswork, cross of this or of that.

Are you people also suggesting that Toyota, Buick, Kia, Mitsubishi,Subaru, Tercel are copying each other ?

  9. avatar jackson liu says:

this cars desperately needs largers rims
    what are those..?? 15 inches??

  10. avatar Mememe says:

If those Toyota, Buick, Kia, Subaru …. don’t share similarities then people would not have come up with those suggestion.

I am not a pro-clone person, if it is really a clone then I’d say so.

But if people cannot make up their minds and give a proper answer for this “copy” then quit it.

It’s common knowledge that even mainstream American and European car companies often copy the styling of their competitors. However, there is a perception in the West – more rightly than wrongly – that Chinese companies shamelessly copy their rivals. Lifan is certainly one of the more reputable Chinese auto companies, and the 620 looks to be solidly engineered and originally (albeit, somewhat blandly) styled. Nonetheless, as an American, I’m still going to question some of the car’s styling cues. And you have to admit, many of the design cues do show similarities to many of the cars that people have mentioned. It’s important for Chinese companies that are looking to expand internationally – e.g., Lifan – to do their best to reduce or eliminate the perception that they are just producing low-quality knock-offs of 10 year old Toyota’s.

Harry, Today I was behind the latest generation of Honda Accord, it didnt look much different from a BMW with those creases in the door skins.

      • avatar Harry says:

Oh, sorry, I meant to say “mainstream American, European, AND Japanese car companies.”

But yeah, case in point right there.

Lifan 620 is a new car in Iran. But some owners complaining some problems that a brand new car should NOT have!such as:1-Vibrating of car in the speed of 60-75 km/h (It is said the clutch system has problem 2- Entering warm air into the car while all air condition windows are closed 3-Bad quality of a plastic pipe connecting to radiator(this one usually get damaged very soon and cause stopping the engine)!4-The spare wheel differs from those on the car 5-It does NOT have any tray under engine! In one word it is not a car that can be trusted for a 1xxx-2xxx kilometer trip! .About the quality of the car in china and other countries ,I have no idea.
