As we are reliably informed, the VW Magotan, is the latest incarnation of the Euro Passat in China, except, there are already 2 previous generations of Passats in China, thus VW thought it best it the Euro Passat was renamed the ‘Magotan’. VW has launched a new Magotan, the 2.0TSI version is mated to a 6 speed DSG gearbox from the Golf GTI. Costing around 300,000rmb, it aint cheap, but we’re sure it will find a market for itself against the Audi A6 2.0 models.
