I wrote the reply just because being Spanish, I wanted to note that some Chinese brilliant achievements can be valued in our country. It is true that SOME Chinese companies just copy, but being China the largest country in population, there are companies of all kinds. Some only copy and some innovate. I preffer doing business with the second ones Only from Chinese companies I have been able to source two way alarms with GSM. Only in China you can have electric motorcycles manufactured, which we have not imported because our distribution is inadequate for this product. Some very specific belts for engines, like double sided ribbed belts or belts with aramid cord, we have seen as many Chinese companies making them as in all other countries together. Now we plan to source from China a highly technological product which I will not mention to keep an edge on competitors. I have visited many factories in China. Some of them can compare to the best factories in the west. Again the size of China allows for a wide variety of companies. Also Chinese factories are flexible and can take small size orders when needed. If I were to point the area where I would welcome most improvement it is lead time for delivery of orders, but I have no doubt it will substantially improve in the near future. We are talking about it with some suppliers because it will offer us an edge on competition. I do not see anythig very special about AUTOSTAR EUROPE.
