Lifan has supplied us with some pretty cool photos of their car making robots.

Lifan have upgraded to robotic labor to help raise the quality level of their products, and to improve efficiency. Lifan say that by using robots, they can raise the efficiency level by 34%. Lifan tell us that the robot manufactured car bodies are a lot stronger than the hand made body panels.

Where is this factory located, Chongqing? What models are produced on this line?
Yes, Chongqing, and I believe its the new 620。
As one of the Chinese statistician said Chinese automakers now have kinda reached their quantity goal, they now should focus on quality goal.
From what I can tell, Lifan is pretty much the only Chinese manufacturer [thusfar] with quality standards that stand up to Western/Japanese competition, as evidenced by their generous service guarantees and long warranty.
But Harry the JD Power Quality surveys don’t seem to reflect that. Lifan has failed to be cited for high quality since the annual surveys began in China. As for any surveys by Chinese quality monitoring organizations, we have not really seen them publicized a lot.
At the moment I think they are only producing the 520 and 520i on this line. There are only 3 examples of the 620 in existence and possibly only 1 of the 320. Lifan told me that the 620 will be built in their new factory which is still under construction.
Whether installation of an automatic transmission on LIFAN 320 (in Russia Smaily) is possible?
Motor 1,3 L., 16 V.
