The Roewe 750 1.8t is going to on the market this March according to our sources, prices are said to be less than 200,000rmb for the luxury and ‘administration’ edition. We have no idea what an admin model is but looking over the specs, it seems it is the higher model.
Putting out 185kw of power, and 215nm of torque, it seems the 1.8T will be a feisty one. The Admin model comes with a few extras that the luxury model doesnt have, such as DVD player, double warmed seats, electric rear seats, TV, GPS, 17inch wheels, and various alarms (seatbelt, anti theft etc)

Not sure about the body kit but it seems to be not a bad spec for a car like this. 185kw, what’s the conversion to hp? If it’s the old 1.8T engine from Rover then this was rated at 150hp which nowadays isn’t brilliant (VW are gettin 170hp from a 1.4 and opel/vauxhall are getting 190 odds from a 1.6).
252bhp? Cant be right!?!

aye, 252bhp = 185kw
Thats a monster of a car, and really puts the MG7 1.8t to shame!
MG-Rover did make one with that amount of power:

I think we posted before that the Brilliance Coupe was 170bhp
185 KW = 248.089 HP
So are they using the 1.8 K series then with some huge turbo on it? Or have they bought in a new engine? Or is it a misprint? If it is 252hp, that goes through the Front Wheels only. How are they getting traction down?
I was skeptical myself, ive found other sources saying its 118kw/160bhp
That’s the figure that Rover were quoting towards the end, I think the engine started at 150hp and was upped to about 160hp when the MG ZT was first launched.
It could well be an MG engine? The specs seemed to have changed from SAIC to MG figures in one article I read!
I think in all probability it will be the 1.8T K series engine, since they own the rights to this engine. I think the original quote of 185kw/252hp might have been a mis-print!
This car looks great! But alas it looks like its going to be a bit too pricey for me.
