Lifan gives us some info on the technical side of things
Lifan are keen to show that they are not just a one stop copy shop, unlike some other Chinese car makers, they have shown that they are willing to take a step back, and design a completely new car from scratch (inc engines) and set up distribution networks with superior service across the country.
Lifan recently sent us these drawings of their Lifan 520 sedan, and Lifan 520i hatchback development. Both the hatchback and the sedan use the same platform and the same engines.

According to reports, Lifan has been instrumental in setting up a national research center to further their development of car platforms. Also Lifan have put together a team of 200 experienced engineers, researchers, and experts that have previously worked with Daimler Chrysler, FAW, Dongfeng etc – Lifan clearly know how to put a team together.
Platforms
Furthering development is pretty much the only way a small independent marque can survive in a world of cut throat conglomerate automakers. Lifan have poured time and energy into creating their 520 platforms, shown below:

hi i have a 140cc pitbike with a lifan engine i need to replace some parts on the engine but am struggling because i don’t seem to be able to take it apart very easily i was wondering if there was a website or anything that i could go to that would have a picture of the engine to help me out a little, if you could reply that would be great thanks

He adquirido el Lifan 520 y necesito un manual del motor, pues no encuentro solución para lo siguiente:
He llegado a aceleración del motor a 4000 rpm en relanty, durante la ignición y también durante la marcha.
En otras oportunidades aceleraciones detenido de 1000 a 2500 rpm oscilantes.
Estoy fuera de garantía y por mi condición de taxista, no logro saber como se conforma el sistema de alimentación.
Si es posible necesito con urgencia un manual del motor para estudiarlo.
