The Enclave is the first Buick SUV to be sold in China, and GM officials are expecting it to be a big winner. Buick is one of the biggest brands in China, and sold over 330,000 vehicles in China last year, which was a 9% increase on the year before. Buick are hoping to sell 5,000 Enclaves in China per year.
The Enclave will be imported into China from the US factories, a small step in turning the import/export tides around. The Enclave is powered by a large 3.6L V6 engine, no word on pricing yet, but China Car Times can easily see it being in the 800,000rmb category.
