Dodge Breeze – The Chery A1 by another name!
In the middle of last year, Dodge and Chery came together to sign a contract stating that Chery will supply OEM vehicles to Dodge. Dodge will take their branding and slap it on the back of the Chery sourced vehicles, with a view to selling them in developing markets. Dodge has been in financial trouble for a few years.
One of Dodges first cars from Chery is the Chery A1, the first picture of a Dodge branded A1 is shown to the right. We have heard of Chery supplying upto 5 vehicles to Dodge, one of which we believe is the rather nice Chery A3. Chery are also working on hybrid versions of the A1, could the A1 become one of Dodges first hybrids?
For readers of ours who aren’t familiar with the Chery A1 at all, we suggest checking out this photo blog we posted previously.

Well, makes sense I guess, not a Plymouth Breeze (aka first gen Dodge Stratus), so Dodge Breeze it is. Oy!
I love the speedometer. Actually, the whole car’s not bad. But the console has such a weird shape, it looks rather unpleasant. Although I guess the GPS makes it worthwhile. (which I’m sure Dodge has removed and made it a $2500 USD option or something ridiculous like that).
.
I’d actually buy this car, if the reason is nothing more than to feed my patriotic desires. First thing I’d do is rebadge it to a Chery
Don’t you mean Chevy?
