It's very hard to get a small car safe but from what I've seen elsewhere on this site chinese manufacturers are struggling to get safety right on large cars. Chery rushed the QQ into production, and passenger airbags weren't actually available (as a option) until early 2004. Let's hope that airbags are STANDARD equipment with the QQ2....and NOT a option. The "minimalist" style really works well, and it appears at though it MIGHT have dual airbags - GREAT on Chery's part to not skimp on a very important safety feature. I say get the 0.8l model, save a ton of money on gas and have a blast driving in the city for UNDER 30,000 rmb! Think the QQ3 was a success? This just might pass it up.
