I went with Andi of Chinamtb.com fame to look at that Chery RIICH/V2/S22 van for his ever growing brood of bairns.

Its actually not that bad once you get inside. Very roomy. Its just the outside that looks.........odd. Those designers at Chery like to put some odd lumps and lines into their cars!

Yes, Brian it does look like the designer took a picture of a Chang'an van and distorted it on his PC screen. What also appears warped is the way the front wheels have such a radical camber angle.
And Ash, it seems no one can beat the ole hump roof Chery S22 for eye-catching appeal.

Wow...how unique it is. Never seen that kind of car before on China´s roads. This car can open a new, revolutionary, area in car design.....sorry for my sarcasm, but in my oppinion there are already more than enough of this ugly overturned callboxes on China´s roads. To produce a practical car seems linked to be an ugly car as well. Therefore, I am still waiting that the exception proves the rule.

Not a bad looking vehicle. What's kind of odd, though, is that the Renault Trafic-style cab on such a small van tends to make both photos look warped!
