The last time we posted pictures of the Hong Qi SUV, we were unaware they were photoshopped pictures, this time were pretty sure the below SUV is the real deal.

The Red Flag SUV is expected to be in the same luxury SUV class as the Audi Q7, and have FAW self made V8 or V12 engines under the hood. China Car Times is wondering why the front end of this Hong Qi SUV has so many air vents.

“..not a photoshop.” but may as well be.

Fugly Mashup! That thing has the proportions of Queen Latifa and its looks is as her attitude is nasty.

  2. avatar Flochin says:

The shape is extremely displeasing to the eye. Especially the overstrech “front wings”…..

Is this a serious car or just a concept? It sure is strange looking.

They seriously need to tone down the fenders! Just remove the vents, and make the fenders flush to the body, and it might look decent.

Still, it’s not that far off from the hideousness of the latest Cadillac Escalade :)

I like the way it looks. It looks a bit like the Mazda CX-7 which is selling well in the US.

  6. avatar Richard says:

I think it would sell, it is ‘ugly’ but in a frightening almost futuristic way. The Cayenne isn’t exactly hansom. I feel it’s wheels could go up a size as it does look a bit ‘slab sided’. It’s monolithic!

  7. avatar Speedo says:

I think it’s a mix of two designs Cadillac Escalade and Cayenne. There’s nothing unique about it.
