Brilliance have taken their 1.8T engine and dropped it into their little FRV hatchback. The result is a 170bhp little monster car, that looks good both outside and in.

The 1.8T FRV will easily reach 210kph, and looks like it will be on sale towards the end of 2008. One thing is for sure, we like it, we like it a lot!

It looks pretty good. Much better than those pics of the standard FRV on the site a few weeks back. Not too bad an interior quality either. It should be able to go more like 215-220. The BS6 with the 1.8T is good for 210. You might be looking at a (just) sub 10s 0-100 as well.
Looks nice (from a just want something fast that doesn’t look too hideous P.O.V.), except for those square mesh covered holes in the rear – would think if they exist would be to make the exhausts look more aesthetic?…
Looks like it would be faster/better performance (maybe also get the coupe’s new 6 Speed transmission as well?) and maybe just as good (maybe better?) handling than their Coupe – being a smaller (would think also lighter) car? If so, I hope they have some updates for the coupe when they release this auto
If the Coupe can do 0-100 in 9.3 or 9.7 seconds – this probably can do it under 9 if its as light as it looks…It looks like its almost in Civic type R/SI territory (190hp)?
….hmmm…just noticed that the driver’s side rear light cluster appears to be out? Providing this isn’t a photo issue, I hope the build quality of this auto is ok
Is that just a reverse light? I noticed certain cars only have one reversing light these days, the Focus is a good example.
Wow – didn’t know the Focus was designed intentionally to do that. – I will have to be more observant when I see one back out the next time
Yeah, the whole cluster looks like its out? – On the passenger side, besides the reverse light being on, the brake light looks to be on as well…however the brake light (as well as the reverse light) is not lit.
Chinese bulbs.
Spotted a “GT” on door rim (pic6). FRV GT?
This is a car that if the crash test results are good and it is built well could sell by the ton in Europe. Assuming the price is right of course. Really good effort, looks greats.
A very good looking car, I like the design, this version looks just great. It could have much succes in Europe!!
cool this is brilliance in house design ?
Looks pretty damn good all around.
Looking at the Non-Sport/GT version of this car…

Im just not feeling the love from the side profile of the car…not sure if its because of the color/glare/something about the photo, but its just not attractive…maybe with the additional body moldings of this model will make it look a bit better?….
Any idea on the pricing of this model?
Nice, seems more attractive than its auto show appearance.
i am going to pay one tomorrow , it’s very good car and crazy price ,
