I’d like a forum, and scratch and sniff pictures.

How about a “technical reference” area? I’m actually thinking more along the lines of a retail price list for cars in China - MANY people seem to always be asking “what is the price” for the various cars we discuss here. Yes, I know that discounts are constantly happening in the industry (and possible price increases as well due to rising steel costs), but if there was SOME place we could go to have a decent idea what current prices are - that would be GREAT. We can all pitch in to keep the info “current”, so to speak - and it DOESN’T need to be TOO detailed. A forum area would also be nice, but that’s been asked about before so need to be redundant. One more thing - banning people from this website (and future forum) that use the word ‘hate’ in their screen name!! :P

Sometimes you give a news about a certain model that will be avalable may be.Then no other news.Well what I would like sometimes is to be informed moore about the real avalibility of the products in the retail shops in china. Then I would like moore attention about the prices:sometimes some brents they have discounts, or special offers, that would be interested to be informed without passing every sunday to see all the car retail shops.Example the brillance coupe’, I am shure that soon will come out with a discount, you should be informed .
I think you are very good but sometimes I see a new car in the street or in a shop and I ask myself :why CCT didnt talk about this ? well this doesnt have to happen animore , i tell you because I love you.
PS.I agree with baning who write “hate”.And welcome who write “love”.

Jon,

What you are suggesting would take a long time to put together, I may hire someone to do it for me over the course of a year though! I would make the information partially free, and the rest paid for.

David,
If you see anything you would like adding, then go for:
http://www.chinacartimes.com/news-tips/

I often receive news tips etc, but more would be better!

As for ‘hate’, that has often become ‘love’

Keep the suggestions coming in!

I know this doesn’t really apply to CCT v2’s architecture, but it would be cool if the photos along the top of the home page were updated occasionally.

I’d like to see a comment rating system like Autoblog, etc. Maybe use a beer counter instead of thumbs up :) Just for giving kudos to the readers who consistently contribute news and other info.
.
BTW, congrats on a great site. I’d be totally clueless about this entire market without CCT. I must say, it’s become one of my favorite sites on the interwebs! Love the community here (except for one bad apple)

actually I’d want to seem harsh but i want more news and coverage !

Auto Beijing 2008 came and went away and we didn’t really see REAL coverage !

I found some excellent coverage from a website caleld TheTycho and AutoBLOG chineese ( except that I can’t read chineese )

but I prefer CCTs interface and style .. so plz more news :)

as for the site itself , a forum would be nice or even just a shoutbox to have some intresting convos with other users .

Gallery section with photos to curretn and upcoming photos of Chinese cars.

I need to purchase a second vehicle due to the number plate scheme during the olympics. I need an inexpensive vehicle for around town. Budget is 40K to 50K rmb, no more. What are the recommendations. I’d prefer a japanese 3 cylinder to anything else, but not sure it is available in that price range. The Xiali looks affordable and there seem to be TONS of them in and around BJ making spare parts an easy find. I’d also buy an old BJ-2020 jeep if I could find one for the right price.

Suggestions please….and i LOVE this web site. Very educational.
